The Epic Failure of Godox Propac PB960 vs Canon Battery Pack - Messy Desk Vlog 2
Whats on my messy desk today......the epic failure of the Godox Propac PB960 and the need to have to order yet again another cord for it :( smh
As a professional event photographer I take roughly 1500 photos per event. Wedding venues are always dark with mood lighting and dj lighting going crazy. The only way to have consistent photos is to use external flashes both on camera and off (OCF).
I have been using the Canon Battery Pack that holds 8 double AA batteries for several years and they are pretty reliable. However I wanted to have a faster recycle time and even better battery output. This led me to try out the Godox Propac PB960 model.
I have now replaced the cord 3 times within 6 months. The reason.....tension. The cord has too much tension to use on your on-camera ocf. As I am constantly raising my camera above my head, while keeping the battery pack around my waist, the cord has broken twice.
Meanwhile the Canon holds up well, but the cord is actually TOO loose and long that it sometimes gets caught on chairs etc when going around a venue. So I am still having to research a good solution. In the meantime I have been using the Godox strictly off camera on a stand to the left or right of the DJ setup
