WHY am I switching from TAVE to PIXIFI? - Messy Desk Vlog 6
Tave and Pixifi are two of the best crm for photographers and after using Tave for several years, this one aspect might have me switch all together, and that is the integration of Zapier for accounting and logging receipts.
Whats on my Messy Desk today? Why am I switching from Tave to Pixifi? Well, I like accounting. I have a pile of receipts on my desk and was looking for a way to quickly log them into my crm to associate them with events that I recently got to shoot. The receipts are for gas, rentals, supplies, etc. Currently all the CRM (Contact Relationship Management) software out there that caters to Professional Photographers all seem to fall short in the accounting aspect. Tave does a great job for the general client end of accounting such as payments, payment gateways, invoices and profit / loss reports but for the logging individual receipts, each one has to manually be entered.
Logging receipts individually is a big hassle, so I researched ways to take a quick photo of my receipts into an accounting software and if there is one that can be integrated with Tave. Well I found Wave Accounting does a great job with scanning and reading the receipts and you can apply them to "customers". Well if that is the case, do I really need to export/import the customers from Tave? Can't I just connect these two platforms? Well I looked on Wave under integrations and learned about a software called Zapier.
Zapier links a ton of different softwares/apps to create unique integrations.....PERFECT. However, Tave was not one of the apps currently available. So I checked to see if any of the popular photography crm platforms were available.
Shoot Q NO,
17 Hats YES.....
and Pixifi YES.
So I decided to open a Pixifi account and test it out. I was able to create a ZAP as its called that will automatically create a new Customer in Wave whenever a new Client is entered into Pixifi. Which means I can manage Pixifi from a CRM aspect and instead of having a partial or biased view of my accounting, I can simply keep all of my accounting in the seperate Wave platform. Then when Wave gives me a total end revenue for a client, I can enter that total back in Pixifi and possibly create a ZAP for that too.
It might take a bit to transfer and I will probably start with just one of the smaller brands right now to see how it works out over the next couple weeks but right now, I am all in for Pixifi over Tave. That is what is on my Messy Desk today. TTYS
