Alnwick Hall is one of many elaborate houses that once stood along the stretch of Madison Avenue known as “Millionaires' Row,” #millionairesrow this survivor of the #GildedAge was built for Edward P. Meany (1854-1938), New Jersey Judge Advocate General and director of the American Telephone and Telegraph Company, and his wife Rosaline. The Meanys based their 1904 home on the design of #AlnwickCastle in Northumberland, England. From 1961 to 1984 the structure served as Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Like many of my posts recently it is currently unoccupied but there is a plan by owner Tom Maoli @tommaoliofficial and @rh_modern to make this a mix use facility and here is the best part.... to keep the main structure AS IS. This is where I believe #njphotographers come in....we can help local citizens visualize the possibilities of The Abbey
Let's help make The Abbey the best Morristown location for Photography shoots
Stay tuned to @topology.is about upcoming meetings and news of this location
